Loch Lomond 12yo Inchmoan 46% ABV is named after the island of Inchmoan on Loch Lomond, and in the old Scots language it means island of peat. The whiskey was created in a combination of distillation in straight and "swan" neck stills. It was aged for 12 years in three types of American oak barrels and did not go through the cold filtration process. The smell is dry peat, vanilla and black pepper. The unique taste when drinking is sweet, peaty, smoked bacon, roasted coffee, cloves, star anise, green apple, pear. Currants, acidity and a long aftertaste of peat prevail in the finish. The whiskey won a double gold medal for 2022 at the World Competition in San Francisco.
